Check Out These Grand Strand Winter Rentals

If this is the year you’re going to spend winter in the South then check out the company I use that found me a really nice assortment of Grand Strand winter rentals to look at. It’s not too early to make your reservations. Doing it now while it’s still summertime gives you the greatest selection of rentals to choose from.

Maybe you’re not ready to make the jump into spending the winter there. Maybe you’re coming for a week this time. Next winter you can make that two weeks, and then a month, before making the jump to spending the entire winter in one of these Grand Strand winter rentals. Any one of which would meet your needs. They have small single bedroom condos to larger eight bedroom houses.

The winter season is a pleasant time to visit coastal South Carolina. You will mostly have the beach to yourself. It’s quieter at that time as there are less people and traffic since the tourists are gone. Enjoy the wide open sandy beaches and walk miles up or down the coast. It’s a great time of year to work on your golf swing and take your time moving through the courses.

Many places in the area are open year round. Be sure to check out Brookgreen Gardens. They have a beautiful display during the Christmas season definitely worth visiting.

Bringing a Baby On a Beach Vacation

Summer time is here and with that comes beach vacations. If you’re facing a vacation with a baby on board this summer you should know about such things as flotation swimsuits, flotation belts and reusable and disposable swim diapers.

Here are some tips about bringing your baby on a beach vacation. You’ll discover many rentals that are suitable for a family with a baby so take your time and look around.
  • Plan ahead. If you’re flying to the area be sure to schedule your flights during your baby’s normal nap time.
  •  Keep on schedule. Maintain the same schedule you have at home as closely as you can while on vacation.
  • Ask about accommodations. Do your accommodations provide sleeping arrangements for a baby? Is there a crib provided? Also ask about car seats with the airline and the car rental agency. Do you need to use one to fly?
  • Stay calm. Don’t stress out preparing for your trip because the baby will sense that and be on edge.
  • Just do less. Babies can be easygoing if Mom stays calm and you don’t try to do too much. Make sure the baby takes naps in quiet and comfortable surroundings like at home.
  •  Use sunscreen. Keep babies protected when in the sun. Dress them in disposable swim diapers and flotation swimwear before going to the beach. Use beach umbrellas or tents. Apply sunscreen to any areas of skin showing.
